New Orleans Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis announced today that the club has been awarded wide receiverTrey Palmeroff waivers from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and tackleXavier Trussoff waivers from the Denver Broncos.

Palmer, 6-1, 190, was originally selected by the Buccaneers in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft (191st overall) out of Nebraska. In two seasons with Tampa Bay, he appeared in 32 games with 11 starts and recorded 51 receptions for 557 yards (10.9 avg.) with four touchdowns, added three rushes for 22 yards (7.3 avg.) and returned 17 punts for 136 yards (8.0 avg.).
In four collegiate seasons with LSU (2019-21) and Nebraska (2022), Palmer appeared in 39 career games, bringing in 112 receptions for 1,501 yards (13.4 avg.) with 12 touchdowns and added seven carries for 82 yards. The Kentwood, La. native also saw action as a returner in 23 games, logging 27 punt returns for 224 yards (8.3 avg.) with one touchdown and 18 kick returns for 456 yards and one touchdown.
As a senior in Lincoln, Palmer established career highs in receptions (71), receiving yards (1,043) and touchdowns (nine). His 1,043 receiving yards set a Nebraska single-season record and his 71 receptions established a new high by a wide receiver, while ranking second overall in program history.
During his time at Kentwood High School, Palmer led the Kangaroos to the Class 1A state title as a senior (2018) and was also a track standout, winning the 100-meter state title as a senior and recording four 200-meter state championships.

Truss, 6-7, 320, joins the Saints after originally signing with Denver as a rookie free agent following the 2025 NFL Draft out of Georgia. In six collegiate seasons with the Bulldogs (2019-24), he played in 67 games with 42 starts across the offensive line (LT 1, LG 18, RG 1, RT 22) and played in 58 consecutive games in his final three seasons.
In 2022, Truss played in all 15 games and made 14 starts at left guard for the National Champion Bulldogs. In 2023, the West Warwick, R.I. native was named second team All-SEC after playing in all 14 games with 13 starts across the offensive line (LG 4, RG 1, RT 8) and anchored a unit that was named a Joe Moore Award finalist, annually given to the nation's top offensive line.
